On our weekend away, the hubs and I hit French Lick Winery...I was a little worried the outside of the place meant that the inside (and the wine) wouldn't be all that to write home about.... Boy, was I wrong!
Their wine list was much longer than expected and I wasn't limited to the amount of wines I could taste test. Score! ;) So I tried a little of everything and here are my faves:
Traminette
Apple Blossom White
Rhubarb-Blush
Catawba - holy moly was that a yummy one!
French Lick Red
Blackberry
Raspberry
Cherry
We brought a home a bottle of the Red, Catawba & the Rhubarb.
Then on our way back to the homestead...we couldn't help but stop at our fave, Oliver Winery:
Where I enjoyed a couple of their new wines: Sangria Classic & Chambourcin Rose (OMGosh, SO good btw).
We walked out almost emptied-handed there but I remembered I still needed the Mulling Spice to use w/ their Beanblossom Hard Cider to make a warm & yummy mulled cider. I can't wait to use it for a Fall get-together :)
We had a wonderful time at both locations and I recommend anyone to check them out if you're in the area. Next year, we hope to take our next anniversary trip to Madison, IN and stay at the Clifty Falls State Park to check out the wineries in that area. :)
